Haven't had a chance to look at the extras yet, I'll let you know when I do. I think the comparison to Dark Knight is a little invalid, but raises a better comparison -- Iron Man Vs. Batman Begins. That's probably what you want to look at, since Iron Man 2 has the potential to be much darker, possibly bringing in the Demon in a Bottle/Alcoholic storyline. If you think about it, Iron Man and Batman Begins are both origin stories and both have weak-ish villains. I loves me some Obadiah Stane, but he's more in line with a Scarecrow or Ra's al Ghul, than The Joker, not a true threat to Iron Man. Both movies do their job as far as entertaining and establishing the character, but they also set up great potential for a sequel. Dark Knight came through. Can Iron Man too? Er, 2?

Dear Nerd With Words,
Not that I am considering "skimping out" and buying the single disc version, but could you give your review of the extras on the new Iron Man DVD? Did they "skimp out?" Since my brother bought the two disc set yesterday and I can watch his, should I wait until they have a X-mas special release packaged within a golden helmet?!
Also, the other Nick gave his ho-hum review of Iron Man this morning, and compared it with Dark Knight, which made me think: Since DK is nearly twice as long as Iron Man, perhaps the comparison will be better after Iron Man 2 comes out and we can combine both Iron Man movies, and maybe you can trim some of the early origin sequences... And then compare!!!
