I think the comparison to Dark Knight is a little invalid, but raises a better comparison -- Iron Man Vs. Batman Begins. That's probably what you want to look at, since Iron Man 2 has the potential to be much darker, possibly bringing in the Demon in a Bottle/Alcoholic storyline. If you think about it, Iron Man and Batman Begins are both origin stories and both have weak-ish villains. I loves me some Obadiah Stane, but he's more in line with a Scarecrow or Ra's al Ghul, than The Joker, not a true threat to Iron Man. Both movies do their job as far as entertaining and establishing the character, but they also set up great potential for a sequel. Dark Knight came through. Can Iron Man too? Er, 2? Did they "skimp out?" Since my brother bought the two disc set yesterday and I can watch his, should I wait until they have a X-mas special release packaged within a golden helmet?!
