Dear Wired Lady,
I truly identify with your enthusiasm for this weekend’s big (sure-2-B) hit! I only wish my wife and I could join in the hoopla. Sadly, it doesn’t appear that our favorite character, Aidan (played wonderfully by John Corbett), will appear in the film. Why else would we go? When Carrie Bradshaw dumped him for being too great a guy, we wanted a spin-off to follow him! Of course, we kept watching, waiting for him to come back, suffering through the return of Big, Burger and Baryshnikov. His one little cameo was great, with him carrying a baby and with his new wife, quite happy. Ahh. Take that, Carrie! Psycho Hose-beast! Anyway, I started skipping episodes after that, and yawned through the series finale. And when my wife and I had children, what did we name them? Certainly not “Big Burger” and Baryshnikov! Instead we have Aidan, 6, and John Corbett Jr., 1. OMG, I just checked imdb.com, and while John Corbett is not listed, Plum Sykes is playing a Vogue Writer!!! I may just have to check this out on DVD. You know, to see what the girls are wearing.
